Outstanding and rare is this lovely pair of antique art glass vases!! These vases were produced by Loetz in Bohemia about 1890-1895. The smooth, buttery yellow satin glass vases have white linings The mouth of each vase is beaded and highlighted in gold. Each section of the moriage collar has a raised white fern like design and alternates from tan to brown as it encircles the top of the vase. The entire moriage design is outlined in white and highlighted in gold. The vases rest in a narrow brass band that has acanthus leaves in relief. The band is supported by three winged lion feet. Although identical in design, they vary slighl;y in height. One vase measures 4 1/2\" in height while the other is 4 1/4\" tall. Size variations are quite normal in antique blown art glass pieces. The diameter of the bulge is approximately 5\". The vases have smooth, polished pontils. These rare vases will be a wonderful addition to add to your collection of fine art glass!!
