Rare Somerville Toy Titanic model that sinks: $152.50
This is a 16 inch model of the RMS Titanic that originally came with a book and a stand. The model sinks and breaks apart like the original Titanic. It has actually been used to simulate theories of how the real titanic sank. The maker is Somerville. The model floats on water unless you move the release switch on the bottom, which opens up a gash in the hull (caused by the iceberg). The ship will sink nose first and then break in half just before sinking. ATTENTION! - You are offerding for the model Titanic only from The Titanic Book and Submersible Model published in 1999.
- 4 peices are missing: the 2 crows nests and 2 of the 3 propellers
- Also the stand, the book, and the original packaging are not included
- It is in good condition but does show use such as scratches on the bottom and the missing parts
If you are looking for a model in great condition this is not it. If you would like to own a one of a kind toy this IS it!
