RARE Original Vintage 1959 JC Higgins DeLuxe Flightliner Sears Middleweight Cruiser Tank Bicycle!
This bicycle\'s beautiful, sculptured designis straight from the Space Age!
*Frame is opalescent, metallic turquoise blue!
*Unrestored, but in great original condition, this classic bicycle has the minor surface rust, dents, and dings, but overall good shape for being almost 60 years old!
*I’ve kept this bicycle clean and in great shape. It’s an amazingly QUIET ride –no squeaks or rattles! You can immediately take a long ride - no work needed for this beauty!
*Chrome springer fork!
*Dual headlights on the front of the tank and switch work well and the original lens has no cracks. Interior and housing are in great condition.
*SUPER RARE dual shot glass tail lights have no cracks and only minor dings to the plastic. Still has original red plexiglass switch that works great! Interior and housing are in great condition, too.
*Rear rack is complete and very sturdy!
*Troxel white springer seat with metallic silver trim is in great condition withcrash rail. Has no tears or real damage, just a very minor scratch on top that doesn\'t go beneath the surface.
*White \"flexgrip\" grips are worn, but have no tears or cracks and are in overall good vintage condition.
*Sears ‘atomic’ emblem is on both the speedometer and front - just below the tank headlights.
*Stewart-Warner Speedometer is in great condition -no cracks in the plastic cover or fading to the background!
*Komet coaster brake is excellent!
*Wald jeweled pedals and pads are in good shape, but two jewels are missing from each pedal.
*Stamp located beneath bottom bracket: MOD502 469101 250807
*Approximately 58 lbs – a very solid, classic bicycle!
*Original owner \"Marsha\" put a great embossed label (now vintage) on the rear chrome fender. Such a fitting name for this bicycle, I left it on, but it could be easily removed.
*BONUS: I\'m including an original JC Higgins brass bicycle lock AND key! It works, but is a little temperamental. A cleaning is all it needs!
*Side notes: this amazing bicycle is missing the original bell, speedometer driver cable and driver, and original rear fender reflector. I added a modern, small jewel reflector to the rear chrome fender just for looks (which can be easily removed - has a wingnut backing). The original tires have been replaced with similar-looking white sidewall tires by Kenda.
