Rare Vintage 1959 Rudy Mück Balanced Model 7M Bb Trumpet:
$1399.00

Beautiful 1959 Rudy Mück Balanced Model 7M s/n 27xx, raw brass. Bore is .455\", bell diameter 4.75\" with French bead. This horn was in the collection of Robert Benn, who presumably assigned the 1959 date.
Some background, courtesy of Fred Cirksena andwww.rudymuckinfo.com:\"The first few [Rudy Mück] instruments were New York Bach clones which were usually 3-digit or 4-digit serial numbers. Then with Blessing and Carl Fischer, were Blessing clones, usually 5-digit serial numbers. Next, in England with the Dallas Company, the wholesale company who supplied the music stores, John E. Dallas and Sons, the balanced model clones appeared. These were probably made by Courtois, as they made most almost all the horns in Europe, except the Selmers such as Buffet, LeBlanc and more. Lastly, the lower quality Rudy Mück horns with 6 digit numbers were made by a maker in Germany.\"
I have seen comparisons between Courtois and Kanstul previously, and the comment that \"[Courtois] made most almost all the horns in Europe...\" lends credibility to the association of two high quality and prolific builders. \"Dallas - London - Foreign\" is inscribed on the underside of the bell of this horn, corroborating the website\'s information.
The horn itself is a real piece of work, lots of wonderfuldetailing. Each valve casing has three pieces, internally threaded nickel top and bottom fittings and a brass body. The valve caps are externally threaded nickel. Lead pipe, ferrules, and inner/outer valve slide tubes are nickel (or nickel silver). The third valve slide has a trigger and a dump slide with a water key. First valve slide has a thumb saddle. The valves appear to be Monel and are free and fast, and seal well. The instrument serial number is on them, and all match. Valve guides are two point brass.
The horn has been well cared for throughout its life and shows no signs of trauma. It plays easily with a warm, full sound. A generic case is available at the buyer\'s discretion. No mouthpiece is furnished.I prefer FedEx shipping because I\'m near a hub and get fast service. For sale in USA and Canada only. Offers will be considered. Message me for more info.
