KitchenAid introduced new colors in 1955, including chrome and copper, the latter two were more expensive and fewer were produced.
Manufactured by Hobart Mfg. Co., Troy, Ohio. This mixer is in very good condition, the power cord is fully intact with no cracks or breaks, does not heat up with the machine running.
Dimensions: 13 1/2 inches tall, base is 12 inches front to back and 7 1/2 inches across.
The locking plate on the base is completely intact and the bowl locks securely into it.
The beater clears the bottom of the Pyrex bowl as recommended in the manual, which is in very good condition, the bottom front corner is dog-eared.The motor runs smoothly through all 10 speeds. The accessory access port is clean - with lubricant - and the securing knob is intact with no damage to the threads. The finish on most of the mixer is in good condition. There are areas, which I have attempted to show in the photos, where too vigorous cleaning/polishing with an abrasive, has worn away some of the copper finish. THE LAST PHOTO SHOWS THE AREA WITH THE MOST WEAR.
There are some fine scratches and marks on the finish which are from normal, expected wear on an appliance that was used but cared for and it is 59 years old. Serial No. 3C413299
