RARE Vintage Daughters of the American Revolution DAR14K Gold & Enamel Pin PendantHere is a highly collectible piece of American history! The riveted piece on the back has numerous markings. On one end is marked CALDWELL & CO. Below that is what appears to us to be an incomplete gold stamp - a numeral that looks like a 4 followed by a bold K is stamped into the metal. We acid tested this item in several locations - all test good for 14K gold. Based on gold at $1,206, 5.7 grams of 14K gold is worth just over $125. The back of the riveted piece is engraved with the name Pauline V. Hamilton Brown, with the membership number 161337. The pin works correctly and locks securely. There is also a folding bail that would allow this to be worn as a pendant. Measures about 38 mm across the widest point; wheel diameter from star to star is about 27 mm. The riveted piece is rose gold on the back and white gold on the front. The wheel, pin, and bail are yellow gold. The enameled portion of the wheel is navy blue. Cosmetically, this pin is in beautiful condition, as you can see in the photos.
