Here isa Rare Old Delta WingDIVE SCOOTER Model whichlooks like something Bond should have used in Thunderball.
Discovered in a diver\'s estate, scooter with its jet pack profile has \'the look\' which displays well its past undersea adventures.
Presumably, it\'s circa 1950s-60s, but an Internet search has not found any similar submersibles. Although, it appears professionally manufactured, it may have been a diver\'s prototype designed for personal use. Therefore, scooter may very well be the surviving example of one diver\'s ingenious Mid-Century design.
Propulsion via 2 wing propellers was battery powered.Although an enterprising diver might be able to restore scooter to operational status, it is offeredin as found, untested condition; therefore sold fordisplay as collectable or for parts only as pictured.
Despite no maker\'s name observed, LASCO is marked on one component part. Composed of mostly fiberglass, pvc and metal, condition includes expected surface scuffs, dings, scratches, etc, but no hull fractures or holes. Please note that the throttle has separated from its wing mount, but remains wired; while the other wing\'s stationary handle is missing as pictured. A metal sleeve could probably be attached to restore it. One blade of starboard prop is also long gone, but replaceable by buyer if desired.
