RareVintage 19th Century Knights of Sherwood ForestSword. These swords are very, veryhard to find. This unique and rare sword was crafted between 1860-70's by the famous master swords crafter, James Luker. Engraved near the hilt is "J. Luker, 133 Grand Street, NY". This sword was crafted for a man by the name ofJ. Ziegler and isbeautifullyadorned with his name on one side of the blade. Along the scabbard can be seen the KSF insignia. Between the hilt and the blade is the KSF entwined initials. The blade itself has the owner's name on one side and the other side is engraved with anornately detailed etching of avery noble looking Stag. The blade is adorned with gorgeous detailed engraving.
The sword measures 34.5" from the head of the hilt to the tip of the blade. The scabbard itself measures 29.5". The sword is in extremely good condition but given their age there is some wear. The blade has some minor oxidation spots and light rust near the bottom but they are far from serious. This rust could probably be easily removed but I will leave the cleaning to the professionals.
