People need meters that \'boot up\' in all climates, all circumstances.For your consideration is a super clean CDV-700 Victoreen 6A with a recently rebuilt main board. Precisely calibrated. Accurate to 100% of any other beta/gamma tester out there, all critical components are replaced during rebuild. These are many times better than original factory components. Some are military spec /grade. Externally the units are very clean and Internally like new. Ipolish all older lenses and touch up any chipped paint spots whenneeded. All Victoreens get the illuminated needle mod with proper resistorfor near zero battery draw.NEW AUDIO MODSFromhere on forward all Prepguard CDV-700s will come with two (2) audioconnectors. The original OEM Switchcraft type jack and a modern 1/8\" or3.5mm connector. This provides the best of both worlds as I am supplyingall detectors with a new old stock headset which is also waterproof.Equipping these with a 3.5mm audio connector provides a backup audiosource in the event that the OEM headset becomes damaged or misplaced.The 3.5mm also allows of audio interface between smart phones, PCs,desktop speakers, and just about any modern headset. Calibration: We adjust the gauge needle, followed by high voltageadjustment using the supplied the GM tube combined with added diodevoltage regulator. We then adjust current flow to the gauge needle usingseveral known check sources (gamma and beta). Calibrations were checkedagainst $10k hospital machines and were found to be 100% accurate.

As one can expect we get slammed when headlines get nasty. Our \"ready to ship\" surplus was sold quickly in early August so now we are on a first come first serve basis. Even with full crew we can\'t get a new ready-to-ship surplus back on the shelves. Not including weekends, most rebuilt units are out within 3 days but sometimes this climbs to 4 days. Sometimes faster, all depends. This happens when a particular buyer orders \"5\" or \"10\". We work nearly around the clock and weekends as well.
