I use the correct unitized cone/dust cap, not separate pieces. I do not shim the cone upwards or ever preload a spider or cone surround, and wouldn\'t. They lie dead flat when I\'m done.I install the spider in the correct position, underneath and inside it\'s landing.The leads and wiring are behind the cone, and I make every effort to reuse the original gaskets if at all possible. I do not disturb the wax seals over the original assembly screws in any way and I carry out allthe work with the respect this driver deserves.After two years of reverse engineering, and back and forth with suppliers,I can assemble this speaker first time every time without fail and guarantee no rubs, ever.
