A vintage, NOS, high output STEREO cartridge has been installed, (bridged to mono) as a retro-fit installation. Now you can enjoy all your vintage vinyl records, all 3 speeds in both stereo and mono with this wonderful vintage MONO HI-FI 1954 player.

Built in 3 original speakers boost a rear firingtweeter and left / right firing mid/bass speakers. Speakershave been cleaned, tested and works flawlessly. Lots of full range response in both treble and bass.

The original screen metal speaker grill is inbright and shiny, slightly indentedcondition. The originalgold colored TRAVLERBadge and Hi-Fi sign are mounted on the outside, front of the attractive case.

AMPLIFIER:

• Tube Amplified AUDIO withall tube(s) tested strong. 2 NOS 50L6 tubes installed.
• This is a powerful, PUSH-PULL 50L6 tube amplified player.
• Original electrolytic power filter capacitors tested and working as they should.
• Allold wax tubular capacitors replaced withceramic and tubular metal case capacitors.
• Powerresistors tested and functioning within tolerance of amp. Others tested and out of tolerance resistors replaced.
• Controls: Volume,Bass, Treble controlsand power switches, cleaned and lubricated.

MECHANISM AND MOTOR:

• Motor rebuilt, completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated with turbine oil and reassembled.
• New rubber motor mounts have replaced the old aged ones.
• Mechanism completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and reassembled to function like new. All moving parts calibrated to manufacturers specifications.
• 3 speed manual transmission cleaned and lubricated: 33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM
• A new (NOS) idler wheel and 3 rubber turrets wereinstalled to ensure proper speed and automatic functions.
• All 3 speed turrets have been replaced with NOS with tight, full friction grab and movement.

AUDIO PICKUP

• Tone arm has been refinished in Gold enamel metallic paint.
• A new (NOS) high output, vintage style, STEREO cartridge has been installed in place of the old defective mono cartridge. The new cartridge has been fitted with a NEW DIAMOND STEREO stylus. Stylus is a flip over type with 3 mil needle on one side to play your 78 RPM records. On the other side is the LP .7mil stylus for you 45\'s, 33.3 RPM records.

• New flocking will provide slip-free rotation of with your vintage vinyl records.
• Comes with its original, automatic 45, (large hole) record adapter. Stack-and-let-them drop one by one.
• Record player has received aNEW, brown, safe, polarized, extra long (about 8 feet) Power cord.

GENERAL CONDITION NOTE: This is a used, vintage record playerwith internal speaker. It is not NEW. It has minor scuffs, scratches, stains, age, use marks. Thiscase is in great original, cleaned, CONDITION with just a few light scuff and scratches and NO visible stains or unusual damage. I have done my best to photograph or and bring attention to any substantial physical or operational discrepancy in the item. If you are seeking an original, fully restored player that will play vinyl records and produce deep, full, rich \"tube sound\", this player is for you.

It is my passion to bring you the very finest restoration I can. My quest to explore, diagnose, repair and service electronic and mechanical devices began when I was 7 years old. I\'d get up very early, everyday in the Summer and on Saturday mornings during the school year. I\'d take my Huffy bicycle around TV service and electronic repair store rubbish areas. I\'d hit the trash cans of neighbors, industrial and retail centers, collecting interesting specimens of electronic chassis and motor driven gizmos, to dissect, study and organize. In my teens I built and studied projects from Heathkit and other schematics featured in Mechanics Illustrated, Electronics Illustrated and similar related publications. In the Navy I went to school, studied and worked as an Aviation Electrician repairing and servicing military aircraft. Now that I\'m retired, I still love to tinker with electronic and mechanical devices. If the item is old and moves, engages, lights up, or makes sound, I am driven to dismantle, clean, readjust and rebuild the device. I have several radios, record players, amplifiers, and color wheels that I will be restoring over the next several years. My goal is to make these old, vintage devices function like new again.
