Though it grieves me to sale off a piece of my childhood, this Old FrontierNavy replica revolver has beenlocked in my dad's rolltop desk for the past 40 or so years collecting dust.Though it was presented to me as a child,it wasimmediately confiscated after I used it to torment my younger brother Rob, tying himto a chair and firing caps at him, bringing him to tears. My brother has never been right since.
But I digress. Here we have a 1970's replica of an 1851 Colt Navy revolver, originally a black powder cap and ball firearm. It is a non-gun, meaning it cannot fire a projectile nor can it be modified to fire a projectile as the cylinder is factory plugged. There is also an orange plug in the muzzle. I believe it takes #10 or #11 caps, though I have no caps with which to test it. The hammer falls squarely on the nipples and I don't see why it wouldn't work. The cylinder rotates freely, the action and timing are smooth and correct, and trigger pull is very nice considering it is a toy. It is made in Japan and sold by Collector's Armory. Please enlarge and examine the photographs carefully, and I think you'll agree that it is in good overall condition.
I’m not a professional er, so please bear with me as I try to describe myitems honestly and to the best of my ability. It’s easy to get 100% response as a buyer, but as a seller, it’s a little tough---usually because of communications. So I invite your questions and strive to answer them promptly, and always honestly. If you need additional photographs or details, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m “user friendly,” you might say!
I don’t buy and re-sell on , I’m simply purging my home of years and years of accumulation, from airplane models to zebra figurines and everything in between, so please check out my other sales both present and future---there’s plenty more to list! As a buyer, I don’t like it when sellers hide additional profit in their shipping, so as a seller, I try to keep my shipping and packaging costs to a minimum. I usually ship first class with delivery confirmation. If you desire insurance, please let me know before paying, and I’ll send you an invoice that reflects the additional charge. I try to ship at least two or three times a week, but not every day, as I have a regular job, 4 grandkids, a dog with chronic diarrhea, and a wife with no sense of humor.
Lastly, offer with confidence, as I gladly accept returns and don't want you to be unhappy. Warning: sale snipers are lurking in the shadows; so I encourage you to offer early, offer often, and offer like a drunken U.S. Congressman!
Absolutely no international shipping!

The dimensions and weight of this revolver are identical to the Pieta 1851 Navy .36 caliber cap and ball revolver found on the Cabela's website. (This forum will not allow me to copy the link). It has a 7-1/2 inch octagonal barrel, .36 caliber, and measures 13-5/8 inches overall. The cylinder is 1-1/2 inches in diameter by 1-3/4 inches long. I have rather large hands---like a monkey, some say---and the pistol fits me. So this is a 1-1 full sized replica. I apologize for not including this information in my initial description.
