Kit# 7071
Even though it was the direct successor of the Volkswagen Beetle, the Volkswagen Golf 1 couldn\'t have been more different from its predecessor. It featured front-wheel drive and a water-cooled, forward-mounted engine while the Beetle had rear drive and rear mounted engine. Additionally, the Golf 1 was extremely angular and boxy, contrasting strongly with the flowing, rounded lines of the Beetle. Nevertheless, the vehicle quickly found its niche as a reliable, efficient, and ultimately popular car.
Kit features opening hood, detailed engine and interior, rotating wheels, left or right-hand drive, and international decals.
