The customizable rider safety strap is held discreetly in your hand alongside your reins (like a riding crop) and works to keep you planted in the saddle in the event of an unexpected buck, spook, bolt, rear or hard landing during jumping. This is much safer than other types of grab straps that you have to try to grab hold of AFTER you\'ve already started to fall! In the event that you do come unseated, the safety strap can help you to fall in a more controlled way. The strap lays quietly at your horses shoulder when not in use. It also functions great as a handle for carrying your saddle.
Made from narrow 3/4\" nylon strapping that is very comfortably held alongside the reins by adults and children alike. The strap length can be adjusted to fit most children and adults. 1. Remove stirrup leathers from stirrup bars.2. Place loops of safety strap over stirrup bars adjusting the length as necessary to fit.3. Replace stirrup leathers onto stirrup bars.4. Adjust the length of the loops so that, when mounted and holding the handle with the rubber stopper resting firmly against the top of your hand, there is a slight bend in your arm when you extend your arm in front of you. (Can be adjusted slightly longer for jumping high jumps.)5.
