It\'s hardened, ground and lapped spindle traversed by a high carbon steel screw working in a bronze nut,

the spindle has a 3 1/4\" maximum travel.

The hole in the spindle is ground toRivett special center taper gage. approximately 3 included angle.

Center or other attachment is automatically ejected when spindle is fully retracted
