roy cox thimble drome tether car, excellent, all original, with cameron engine:
$575.00

If you have been holding out for one of the most original (built in 1947) Roy Cox Thimble Drome Champion cars, now is the time. This was built in Santa Ana California roughly 70 years ago. Complete with the stock Cameron engine that has awesome compression. Tires and car looks excellent for its age. Tires still look new with no cracks. I really don\'t think it was used more then a couple of times. The superficial scratches you see in the pics occur after one run as those of you know. The paint is bright and it\'s the number 15. Everything is there and complete. The top of the \"pump\" handle is broken off but it\'s just there for scale looks and doesn\'t do anything. As a matter of fact, no one will notice unless you point it out. This is really a rare and collectible car. Check my response and offer with confidence!

Hello. Thanks for everyone\'s interest and questions. I will answer some questions here:
Sorry, I don\'t like to end sales early so I give everyone a chance to win.
I have owned this item for a long time and I am the second owner.
There are NO flat spots on the tires because it was displayed on a foam block that will be included. It raises it up enough to prevent damage on the car.
Any paint chips is exactly that. The original paint (due to age) has fallen off. It would be a piece of cake to touch it up since the metal is near perfect, but.....It won\'t be original at that point. I love the way it looks and it is bright. It displays amazing. It gets non stop compliments from anyone that sees it.
The tires (yes original) have little to no wear on them. This thing was not abused and loved for 70 years.
Yes. Tons of compression on the engine and after run oil was always added.
Yes, it does have a super rare start system on one wheel. Not all of them had that. I think it was an option in the late 40s. It made starting easier. You simply tie a rope and pull it.
I really can\'t say enough good things about it guys. This is one of the most collectible/amazing tether cars out there. Don\'t miss your chance.

I am adding the original wood tow rope used to start the engine. As collectors know, this is a very rare piece as most all of them got thrown away. I included a picture of it too. Thanks!
