The leather seams and and belt are in decent condition but all the leather panels are delicate: in fact, the leather of the panels in some areas is quite thin and weak and can be easily torn.
The leather panels on the back and the armpit areas seem to have escaped whatever caused the front panels to become so fragile, except the area of the rear right shoulder, as noted below.
This is important to note, because the jacket is now suited only for display, it cannot be worn as it is too delicate in the areas of some of the leather panels!
Both sleeve zippers have their AM pull-tabs and both zippers work.
Main/front zipper has its LIGHTNING pull-tab and the zippers works, though it feels a bit fragile.
The inner lining is ok.
Damage:
In addition to the faded and thinned leather:
The leather vertical panel which gets covered when the front zipper is done up is in a very fragile state with already several sewn repairs and an unrepaired 3 inch horizontal hole in center of the panel. This area could be very easily torn!
The right chest panel area has a very crudely repaired 12 plus inch long tear from the central zipper area up all the way up to the shoulder area: see photo!! Also in the right chest area is an additional 2 inch hole.
The right sleeve cuff has many repairs and an additional 2 to 3 inch unrepaired hole and a further unrepaired 1 or 2 inch hole: see photo! And, there is some loss of the inner lining which rolls out into the cuff area.
The rear right shoulder area has 2 or 3 unrepaired 1 and 2 inch holes.
The armpit areas are worn but generally intact.
