Outboard and inboard profiles of SS Normandie ocean liner as it was converted to troop ship during WW II. Th U.S. siezed the Lafayette from France and re-named it SS Normandie. It caught fire in the dock at New York, and the fire department pumped 6,000 tons of water into it, causing it to capsize in the slip. It was scrapped after several tries to float it. These bluseprints came off the ship with one of the owners trying to escape the fire, and may well be the last surviving set of blueprints for this great liner.
