Sage Z-Axis salmon Spey fly rod 12’6” no tube A used and loved premium Sage Z-Axis 6126-4 (12 foot 6 inches long, 6 weight line, four sections) double hand rod for Spey or overhead casting for salmon and sea trout. This was the top of the range rod from Sage\'s Z-Axis series, using their proprietary \'Generation 5 Technology\'. It\'s a factory built rod and is in very good used condition.
There are no dings, chips, cracks or scratches to the blank (beyondthe usual assembly marks at the ferrules). The cork handle is grubby with use (easily cleaned if that bothers you) but not pitted or damaged. The only fault is that the alloy tube is missing. I tend to keep all my rods in Abel multi-rod cases and I have somehow managed to lose the alloy tube for this rod during our house move last year.
