Beautiful, whimsical fairly rare Sterling Silver Aztec Duck Sugar Spoon / Tea Caddy designed and created by William Spratling in Taxco, Mexico.
Per the hallmark/signature, this was created post 1951. It clearly has been polished over time, the signature stamp being clear, but slightly worn on the \"w\"
Per research, this is solid sterling, but Spratling did not mark it thus during this time frame, but we know he always worked on solid sterling, never plate.
It is in excellent, vintage condition. It has been cleaned, but not mechanically polished.
