One brand new battery. you should use silicon seal lube the unit doesn\'t have any on the seals my buddy uses chapstick on his scooter but i dont think thats recommended. i charged the battery so its ready for you to try it out. so dont over charge it when you get it . if you are going to store it pull the leads and take the battery out. of the scooter and let the battery bay completely dry out . never store it with the battery in it because moisture in the battery bay it will rot everything inside.fresh water rinse it like all your scuba equipment and it will last a long time. sand in your seals are your enemy keep it clean. this is not a toy keep fingers ,long hair, sticks string from swim shorts, lanyards anything that can get sucked into the grill is bad and can be life threatening.these things are only fun when used safely even though this is an entry level water scooter used within its parameters it can be very fun . remember water and electrical stuff don\'t mix,and a leak anywhere and you will end up with expensive repair bills read the manual follow all procedures.
