This Incredibly Rare 18th Century Signed Pennsylvania German Wrought Iron Flax Ripple (Overall: 10\" x Tines: 6\" x Handle: 4\" x Signature: 5.8\" High ), is Beautifully Forged from Square Stock Tapered Down to Points, with \"Non-Slip\" Divots on the Back Side and has a Very Nicely Hammer-Stamped Signature \".H.S.\"!!! This Flax Ripple is in Very Good, as Found Condition, with Minor Rust and the Typical Pitting that Very Old Wrought Iron Typically has and has Only been Dusted Off when it was Cleaned!!! This Flax Ripple Doesn\'t Appear to have Ever been \"Cleaned\" with a Wire Stripper or Any other Methods (though it is Possible...) and has a Truly Beautiful Deep Brownish-Black Colour... I Used to Have a Very Large 25+ Year Collection of Wrought Iron Flax Hatchels and Flax Ripples and have Sold the Majority of them off, this is one of the few that I have left and it is one of the Very Best from my Collection!!!
