If this is your first project the only other items that you will need are a hook and a frame to put your pattern into to keep it taut. I started out with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before graduating to a larger frame. There\'s no sense investing in expensive tools until you\'re sure you enjoy a hobby. As for the hook I have always used a Moshimer hook which I sell for $14.00 but if you choose the option to add one to this kit the price is reduced to just $8.00.

The pennies are hooked from the outside in with a gorgeous variety of great dyed and as is shades if wool fabric strips. For the background you will receive a mixture of navy, eggplant and other darks. For a finishing touch I added a couple of rows of over dyed charcoal.
