Small railroad track perfect for jewelry, hobby, small blacksmith projects.
This is an 8 inch long piece of what is called \"12 lb. rail\" which means that a length of 3 feet (36 inches) would weigh 12 lbs. Once again this item is 8 inches long.
This 8\" long piece weighs approximately 2 lb 9 ounces.
The top of the rail (the head) is approximately 1\" wide, the base is 2\" wide, it is 2\" high and overall is approximately 8\" long.
Use as is or you can modify for your needs. Great for jewelry, forging small bracelets, hobbies, straightening fish hooks etc.
Look at the pictures and read the descriptions. The item you will get is similar to one in photos except there will be 2 holes in the rail.
The track was cut to length with a bandsaw or hacksaw and the top of the rail and ends only were cleaned with a wire brush as shown in images. The rest of the rail is left as is with surface scale, oxidation and may have a small amount of rust. See photos as this is the item you will get.
Be careful in case of a sharp edge.
