Up for sale isaUS M1892-1898 Krag Bayonet for theSpringfield Krag-JorgensenRifle. This bayonet ismarked USand dated 1898. The wooden handles are invery good condition, no chips or cracks. The handle has a troop marking A over 38. The blade is invery good condition.Nocracks or chips. The bayonet has NOT been sharpened. It is bright finish, with some discoloration at the tip.

This Bayonet has the2nd Pattern Scabbard, with the hook and wire clasp. Thereis onedent on the back of thescabbard. It still have the original blue finish that is partially patina.

This is the bayonet was commonly used on the Springfield Krag Jorgensen Rifles up until the introduction of the M1903 Springfield Rifle.
