This is a spooky almost antique medicine bottle---please look at all of my pics carefully as it is in worn condition! Actually, the bottle underneath the wrapping & label is probably in very good condition because it is wrapped up--it\'s the covering that is so worn....This bottle (UNOPENED & STILL WITH CONTENTS) measures 2 7/8\" tall and had/has \'20 grams or one dose\' of Shadocol, a medicine to be taken the day before getting an x-ray. The ingredient is Iodophthalein so I guess it\'s similar to the stuff you have to drink before getting a G.I. scan.

The entire bottle is wrapped in a thin foil with a thin paper covering that and the label--the label looks intact but is hard to read as the brownish paper is very wrinkled---please check pics!

The label gives directions of what to eat the day before the x-ray and the morning of; I think this bottle is from the 1940\'s as any information I could find on the brand Shadocol was from then.
