PRINCESS BEATRIX
COMPOSITION DOLL

You are looking at a rare, gorgeous, large IDEAL \'PRINCESS BEATRIX\' composition and cloth doll. This doll was made by IDEAL circa 1938. She was released by IDEAL to commemorate the birth of PRINCESS BEATRIX, who later became BEATRIX, HM Queen of the NETHERLANDS. She is marked \'IDEAL DOLL\' on the back of he neck.

This PRINCESS BEATRIX is in excellent restored condition. She measures 22\" in length and has a head circumference of 15\". Her head, FULL arms with CLENCHED FISTS, and 3/4 of her baby legs are made of composition. Note that the head was used by Ideal and other manufacturers for a number of dolls but the head with the FULL arms and curled under fingers identify her as a true PRINCESS BEATRIX. This doll has soft coloring with blush in the ‘right’ places. She has blue sleep and flirty (side-glancing) eyes that function well. She has painted eyebrows and lower lashes and a closed red mouth. Her crier still works.

PRINCESS BEATRIX will come dressed as seen in the pictures. She’s wearing a fabulous outfit designed and created here at DOLL HEAVEN. It consists of an heirloom-quality long and full gown and matching bonnet made of very fine cotton off-white lawn fabric, an attached long, full batiste slip, and cotton lawn pantaloons. The gown has 3/4 length puffy sleeves, a bodice with beautiful antique laces, a collar made out of antique lace, and a skirt with multiple pin tucks, antique lace, insertion lace, and satin ribbon. The bonnet has a stunning brim made out of antique lace. This doll carries her own matching pillow on which her name is embroidered in gold.
