This Lovely Porcelain ROYAL DUX CENTERPIECE is in perfect condition. The attention to detailof the face and hands of the figures and the choice of soft colorsfor the hand-painting work, makes this stunning compote a must-have!! The entire centerpiece is 20 inches in height and the bowl or shell measures about 12 by 16 inches. The shell is being held over their heads by a maiden and two cherubs who appear to be standing among rocks and ferns and in water with waves crashing around their feet.

TheROYAL DUX Hallmark is one of the \"most distinctive\" ever placed on porcelain. It is a raised triangle of pink clay that measures about one-half inch per side andone-eighth inch in height. The pictures show the triangle with the letterE impressed in the center. The letter E represents Eichler, the founder\'s surname and was used in the first period of production, 1860 to WWI. The bottom of the Centerpiece is covered by felt. In the pictures, you\'ll see that the felt was cut to showthe Mark...that\'s why it looks so strange. I am not an expert on thethings that I\'m listing for saleand so I have researchedwhat I couldon the Internet and at the Library. Many of these above listed details were takenfroma listing which sold recently for $700.00. It was the SAME EXACT MOLD as this listing... the onlydifference wasin the colors of the paint used.
