Sun Systems reflector and ballast all enclosed in a single unit makes this perfect for the first time indoor grower. Actually, I used this system as my 1st grow light. I grew six plants to full maturity with this exact unit!
All you do is hang the unit, screw in the bulb (which is included) plug it in and flip the switch.
The timer is optional whether you want to use it or not. I used the unit for a yr. total. The bulb was used for less than 3 months.
