GREAT LOOKING MASUDAYA MODERN TOYS TIN U.S.A.F NASA GEMINI X-5 BATTERY OPERATED SPACE SHIP
WITH ORIGINAL BOX & INSERT.....made in japan way back in the 1960\'s.......the space racespace ship with rarer gemini graphics( masudaya also made more common apollo version ).
i\'ve had this just sitting on shelf with few other space/robot pieces.....it looks great on display.
the \"metal\" finish on these model craft are notorious for wearing really bad....usually displaying much scratching,flaking,rusting etc...THIS IS A RARE VERY NICE EXAMPLE.
it has the odd bit of normal wear to silver finish,mainly around rear battery door area...odd mark etc...but its much much nicer than most.
the multiple lights and capsule \"glass\" are very nice...graphics/decals also good.....inside cabin looks great...underside really clean...the space man/astronaut is still there on his wire.
Even has its scarce early original box with great artwork,nice and bright....insert still there.....few marks,scuffs here there but overall in very nice shape.
i briefly dropped a pair of batteries in the rear compartment (again in great shape)....flicked the on-off switch,and it fired up straight away.....craft rides around...with flashing lights....space-age noises....and with the astronaut travelling around in circles above....I\'VE TRIED TO ADD SHORT VIDEO CLIP BELOW:

i have somewhere an old sale tag from around 10 years ago,when this item was part of a single large space related collection...handled by christies saleeers....if i can find it i\'ll drop in box.
DUE TO THE AGE AND THE DELICATE INTERNAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS INSIDE... I\'M OFFERING THIS OLD CRAFT...PURELY AS A STATIC COLLECTABLE DISPLAY PIECE....as although i always take great care in packing,there is no way of knowing how the knocks/vibrations in transit in the postal system will affect the half-century old electrics etc... although immediately before packing, i\'ll re-test and record/confirm all is working as described.
