Vintage Singer Sewing Machine Cabinet Bench Stool Model 40 Recovered Seat This is a vintage Singer Sewing machine bench in a warm walnut finish. It is the model #40. If your sewing machine cabinet has these legs, this is the matching bench.This lovely bench measures 15\'\' X 17\'\' and is 19¼\'\' high. The original cover of the top that comes off to reveal an ample storage area for those very necessary sewing accessories, was worn so I replaced it with a high quality fabric backed vinyl in a nice neutral cream color and I added a \'tad of pad for the tush\' while doing so! ;)This bench is very clean, all original and has a very, very shiny finish! The color is a warm walnut. Just beautiful! Singer, like other manufacturers had a top-of-the-line models and their economy models of their cabinets and benches. This model 40 and the Queen Anne (also #40) styles were their top of the line models. The bench will be disassembled for a lessor shipping rate so some assembly will be required when received by the buyer. Simply a matter of reattaching the bolts. This provides for a safer transport as well as a lesser shipping cost. If you are looking for this model, this bench is in superb original condition with a reupholstered seat!
