Technics EPA 100 Tonearm:
$1326.00

OK folks, here it is. A legendary, very hard to find Technics EPA-100 tonearm with the original EPA 100-headshell. This is one of the very few tonearms where you can adjust the vertical tracking angle WHILE THE ALBUM IS PLAYING. You\'ll know when you have it right because the sound will snap into focus. I bought this arm new in 1978 and used it lovingly for about 10 years until I moved and stored it away. I took it out a couple of months ago, mounted an AT 95-E cartridge on it (yes, I know the mounting screws are too long, but the ones that came with the cartridge were too short) and it still works as beautifully as it ever did. The operation of the arm is very smooth. The cuing and anti-skating both work. The VTA and counterweight resonance adjustments both work as well. This arm represented the pinnacle of Technics tonearm technology when vinyl was still king. A tonearm of this quality today would probably sell for $2000 or more. According to an August, 2005 review at[link removed by ]
The Technics EPA 100 Tone Arm clearly exceeds the well regarded Rega RB 300 arm in total sonics, engineering and build quality by a wide margin. As far as the Sumiko Premier FT 3 Tone Arm goes, the Technics EPA 100 is a hands down winner over the Premier FT 3. In fact exceeds the widely regarded RB 600 easily as well as most of the SME arms with the exception of the upper end of SME.
The owners manual, mounting jig, and the special wrench for mounting the arm to the turntable (not shown) are included, along with a couple of technical manuals. You can see one of them here:

The AT 95-E is also included with the arm, but the Thorens turntable you see is not. It will be sold separately.Shipment will be insured by UPS ground in the continental USA only, with a signature required for delivery.
