Transistor checker/Capacitor tester. A basic understanding of BJT transistors like emitter, base , collector LOCATION. The legs of the PNP or NPN transistors in the kit. How Diodes function. Signal & rectifier diodes. Anode - cathode. Capacitors - +.Relays.

Ah back in the day. This was the3rd Amp I owned. 1 6LQ6driving 3 6LQ6. Decent 240-250 RMS. Output.

Sold it years ago after re-tubing it to 31LQ6.

Lots were made. It was cheaper than the Palomar Skipper 300 or Palomar 90A. Palomar 300A,300Z. & D&A Amps.

This Amp also showed up under other names and slightly different configurations. 20 Meter/40 meter etc. You simply swapped out the original Coil to a 5 turn if I remember correctly. You could Tap/jump the Tank circuit coils trial & error also for \"10 Meter operation\" of course.

High Voltage KILLS. So unplug. Discharge old HV Caps. A Shorted capacitor on this Sweep

tube Amp in my experience usually took out at least 1 rectifier diode before the fuse saved the day.

A novice can rebuild this Amp.

8 x 3 amp 1000piv diodes

1x 220uf radial 50v

1 X 47uf 25v

3x 2905 transistors 1 extra just in case!

Not much difference between240and 300 watts RMS !

Worth restoring if you have one complete with a good 2x HV transformer.
