This sale is for an original vintage TOP FLITE P-40FWarhawk (kit # S1) control line unassembled balsa model airplane kit. Thisoriginal kit appears to be complete, however as with these vintage kits, itwasn’t unheard of to have parts missing from the factory. This Warhawk wasdesigned for Control Line Scale or sport flying. It would also make a great scale static model. The plane has a built upSuperform balsa molded fuselage. It sports inverted engine mounting to keepthat scale look. There is also a factory sealed hardware package that includeswheels, bell crank and assorted hardware. This particular kit has been aroundfor a while. The box is in great condition. It just looks aged with shelf wearbut not damaged. Parts are still in their original form in their respectivebalsa sheets although a few parts have come loose. The plans are in greatshape. The decals are also in great shape however they are old, so beforeattempting to use them a light coat of clear should be sprayed over them tokeep them from coming apart in the water while soaking. Please note the original plastic canopy, which is included, has become distorted overtime. I have included a new plastic canopy from a Guillow’s P-40 kit #405 whichis a perfect fit since they are both the same scale. The Guillow’s canopy is abetter product anyway. Also please note there isno silk span with this kit. This kit would make a great build. Since collectingis a personal thing, I’ll let you be the judge as to its future.
