Unassembled Heathkit SW-717 AM SW receiver kit.
An unassembled Heathkit SW-717 AM and SW radio receiver kit. The electronic components are still in their original bags.
This kit is in the original box, and consists of all the electronic components and several main chassis parts, but is missing four chassis parts and the manual. We replaced the missing chassis parts from another SW-717 we had for spare parts, therefore the kit is 100% kit. The three missing chassis parts were the plastic front face plate, inner black metal plate, bottom metal plate, and rear cardboard cover. The plastic face plate and 2 metal plates were immersion cleaned. The plastic face plate is in good condition, and we have taken close-up photos. The lettering is all intact. It has several small marks and scratches, and heavier scratches along the bottom, but you do not see the bottom from a normal viewing angle. It is very presentable. The inner black face plate and bottom metal plate are in excellent condition. The rear cardboard cover has some light staining and is slightly warped, the lettering is intact. None of these minor problems take away from the ability to construct the kit, or its rarity.
We have gone through the kit, and verified it is complete. The electronic components are still in their Heathkit paper bags, some of the rubber bands have broken, but are included.
The kit was missing the manual, we are supplying an original manual in excellent condition. It has pencil marks inside. It is complete with all the fold-outs.
