VERY FINE OLD RARE NORTHWEST COAST ATTU OR TLINGIT INDIAN MINI BERRY BASKET 19C:
$355.00

A very fine rare special early Attu or Northern Northwest Coast Tlingit Indian twined miniature berry basket dating from the mid to late 1800\'s. This is one of group of baskets we acquired that were de-accessioned from the Burke Museum in Seattle. Comes with its museum acc # card \".The basket is very finely woven from split spruce root and the striking complex false imbricated geometric design from dyed red and blue wool which is a rather unusual feature and makes for a striking basket. Note the tiny carry handle indicating this basket was most likley made for a small child . The basket measures 4 1/2\" D and stands 3\" tall, it has some wear as seen in the photos, even still this rare basket makes an excellent display item and a fine addition to anyone\'s collection. This museum quality basket displays beautifully and is worthy of the finest collections. Please add $9.95 for careful shipping and insurance (USA), we\'ll be happy to combine shipping if feasible. Good Luck and Happy offerding. We\'ll be happy to combine shipping if feasible. Please check out other current offerings including a great Tlingit,Haida argilliteand Kwakiutl totem poles and some great early Inuit carvings.
