Vintage Orvis CFO II single action, click and pawl fly reel made for Orvis by British Fly Reels (BFR), an Orvis subsidiary company - circa 1996. Reel is 2 9/16 inches in diameter by 1 1/8 inches wide (excluding handle and drag knob) and weighs 2.60 ounces. Most suitable for 0 to 4 weight lines/rods, capacity: WF2F plus 75 feet of 12lb Micron backing. Excellent mechanically - rivets and screws are all tight, spool is sound and tight with no wobbles or warping, handle is straight, uncracked and turns smoothly. Cosmetically there is very little frame edge wear, spool rim wear is fairly typical with a few rough spots on the spool edge. Reel can be fished with right or left hand retrieve by simply reversing the spring and single click pawl. There is no \"drag\" adjustment mechanism built into the CFO II . Any additional drag pressure may be applied manually by palming the spool rim. Includes a new inexpensive but servicable generic (not an Orvis product) padded, zippered cloth and nylon fly reel case - not shown.
