Up for offer is a very rare gem facetedSapphirine from Sri Lanka!Sapphirine is a rare gem, not to be confused with sapphire, that is rarely found in gem quality. These stones were hard rock mined and are very bright, where as the majority of sapphirines encountered in the rare gem market are overly dark and included and are from alluvial deposits. This lovely fancytrillion cut stone measures 3.4mm X 2.9mm and weighs 0.11cts. The Sri Lanka government strictly controls the supply of gemstones exported fromthe country, with all rough having to be facetedin country before it is exported. A great addition to your rare gem or mineral collection!
