Vintage 1920/21 Lyon & Healy Style B MandolinThis is a very desirable Lyon & Healy Style B mandolin from the early 1920s.
With Deco headstock and prized 13 3/4\" scale length. The neck shows no relief when a straight edge is laid down it\'s length. Action is 1/16\" where neck meets body through the 24th fret.Spruce top with flamed maple back and sides. Waverly arrowhead tuners work well. Non-original tailpiece and bridge. Pickguard is missing and appears to have been for a long time. There are nicks, dings, scratches and scrapes to the body as you would expect. The most notable dings are on the treble side of the body where a couple of impact wounds can be found - one ding can be seen under the treble side point in the pictures. Two small cracks in the fretboard. About 4\" of seam separation/uneveness on the back. The body measures 9 7/8\" across and the overall length is 24 1/2\". Nut is
1 3/16\" wide. There is no case for this mandolin. It will be packed with the utmost care. Thanks for looking.

I have received a lot of input about this mandolin - some think it\'s a copy, some say it\'s
not. It does have a faded label visible through the soundhole which says Lyon & Healy.
I am not well versed enough in Style B mandolins to know. Please see all the pictures to
decide. Thanks again.
