1930\'S MOVIE STAR COMPOsition DOLL

IN ORIGINAL TAGGED DRESS

This is a doll out of the dolls that I have been collecting for some 30 years. I have decided to let someone else love some of them now.

Excellent condition (Not mint). But never played with. 1930\'s Ideal Movie Star, Deanna Durbin composition doll. 21 inches tall. She is nicely strung, very tight. Composition is excellent . Has a few hairline crazes on her, minor.(Some of what you see on her face is hair.Look close.) She is 85 years old. Has some light white places where her arms and legs come out Of the body.Excellent coloring, nice flesh tone. Face is high color!!! Red painted lips match fingernails. Still has her eye shadow. Has her teeth and tongue.She is marked Ideal doll on her back. There is a mark on the back of her neck. But I cannot quite make it out.Her only flaw is her eyes. The pupils and irises are crazed. In Patricia Smith\'s Tenth edition book on page 245 she say\'s (Note Condition of the Dolls Eyes. These eyes,manufactured in the 1930\'s crazed over time ). I know there are folks out there that do eye restoration if the eyes bother you.She has all of her thick eyelashes. They open and easily. Her human hair wig is nice and full. She could use a bit of cleaning.I prefer to let the buyer do this. I did take a wash cloth and cleaned a bit of the dirty looking places on her.With soap. And they did come clean. She is wearing an original Deanna Durbin dress. It is tagged genuine Deanna Durbin. Ideal doll and Toy company.Universal Studios. Made in USA. It is a pretty Polka dot Yellow dress. She is wearing her original shoes and socks. Her socks could use washed.Tag shown Sewn into waist band. Dress has the buttons up the front. Her dress and slips are clean. The dress has one very small black spot on the back.It looks like ink. It has no mends or holes, really excellent. There is an ivory cotton slip beneath and she is wearing undies that are a vintage slip pantie. All of her clothes , shoes and slip and slip panties are original to the doll. She is wearing heroriginal vintage black glossy oilcloth shoes with ankle straps. They could use dusted off. The top of the shoes are very nice with the snapsworking. Oilcloth is superb, unblemished. Fuzzy soles have someminor wear. She is a wonderful Deanna Durbin Doll
