Up for sale is a 1950\'s HALLICRAFTERSRECEIVER MODEL S-53A. I am selling this as a parts set mainly because thecord has been cut off and the two big knobs are chipped. Other than that, itappears to be solid. The cabinet has no dents or breaks, but has surfacescratches, scuffs, minor paint flaking, etc...The three smaller knobs are inexcellent condition, the toggle switches move easily, the dial moves freely, thedial glass has some minor wear to the silk screen, but it is still easily read.The chassis appears to be complete with tubes, but you are buying thiselectronically AS IS as I cannot test it due to the missing cord. The cone ofthe speaker, from what I can see of it without physically tearing this apart,has no holes, tears or rips. As you can see in the photos, there is a sticker onthe top which I assume was a stock number. In any case, I will leave the cleanup to the successful buyer. This set measures approx. 13" long, 9"deep to the knobs and 7 1/2" tall. I don\'t claim to be an expert on thesesoPLEASEreviewthe photos as they supercede the description.
