Brionvega Television mod. Algol 11\" (Italy - 1964) - In 1964 the architects Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper plan the Algol for Brionvega, an Italian company born at the end of the II World War. From that project come out a television destined to revolutionize the previous criterions and the same home environments where it is used. The little black&wite TV become one of the representative products of the Italian Style in 60\'s, so to be enclosed in the permanent collection of various modern art museums, such as the \"Museum of Modern Art\" in New York City together with the Radio receiver TS-502, another fruit of the same architects\' ideas.
The Algol form is characterized by a rounded and sloping screen, by the plastic case realized inbrilliant colorsand by the metal extractable handle.
Together with the two Architects, a specialist Team realize Audio, Radio and Television equipments still today much sought-after by the collectors, both for the design and for the materials reliability.
Several Brionvega products that was made in 60\'s don\'t look their age, they are all signed by Zanuso & Sapper, and crossing through their function they become furnishings complement and modernity symbols.
The Algol is a 11\" black&white portable television, it can receive both VHF and UHF signals. It have an one meter extractable rod antenna for the VHF, whereas for the UHF is used a 19,5 cm circle antenna. In any case at home is possible to connect an external aerial.
