This is agreat “step up” trumpet from Conn. TheConstellation 38B has a richness in the lower register as well as a clear highregister. This makes it versatile forplaying anything from high register marching classics to slow Jazz.
As thephotos show, it has some wear. Normalfor a 43 year old instrument. There is asmall dent on the main tuning slide which does not affect tone. Theoriginal red felt was replaced7 years ago.Thecorks on both of the drain spouts were replaced at the same time. I bought the trumpet new in 1972 and playedit through middle school, high school and college (1984). It sat in the case until my cousin’s daughterused it for marching band for two years from 2008- 2010.
It is in theoriginal case which does have some wear in spots but is functional. Accessories included are: straight mute, cup mute, and Leblanc wow wowmute. There is also a music holder formarching band. There are 5 mouthpiecesas well: Bach 10 ½ C, Bach 7 C,Cleveland C, Conn 4 and the original Connstellation 7b-N.
