ok folks...I have here a really cool axe my 79 hardtail....I got this guitar from a guy who was using it in his church ...he told me that he bought it from a giging musician and shows minor but abundant road wear on the body only...neck is near pristine and is the thin profile not the fat baseball bat neck that usually is from this era...and the serial# is obscure if you know these guitars...it gets fuzzy from 79 to 81...and the number could be any of these years...looks like one of the last bullet trussrod 3 bolt necks fender made...I changed out the original pickups with some vintage staggared pole pups....they sound amazing and this guitar plays like a stick of butter,,,,the original pups were fried and sounded awefull so I ousted them for some new ones...the saddles were also swapped out for some vintage style and are perfect.....this axe comes in its original case which is in great shape...latches all work no issues....you will not be disappointed with this strat...I have owned dozens of 70\'s strats and this one ranks right up there at the top of the list for me....hate to see it go but time to move it along for someone who will put it too use...it is just sitting around my house looking good...played rarely...thanks for looking....shipping will include insurance good luck and let the games begin!
