Vintage 1991 Klein Attitude frameset in team paint scheme:
$910.00

DESCRIPTION
I would like to offer for sale a 1991 Klein Attitude fuselage complete with a painted to match Klein fork and Mission Control bar/stem combo. This is a very early 1991 model frame, one of the last ones made with the mitered (box crown) fork before Klein switched over to the more common uniklein fork. There are very few frames with the 1991 decals, the embossed headset seal (white border around the letters) and that style fork. It\'s hard to tell exactly, but according to my database of Klein serial numbers only the first few hundred were built this way, out of a total of around 3500 Attitudes built in 91. So, it\'s a neat transitional model that doesn\'t come up very often.
The size is what Klein called X-Small or an 18\". It was meant for a rider approximately 5\'0\" to 5\'4\", however many people prefer to ride Kleins one size smaller than they normally would. The fuselage includes all new cable liners, bearings, a chain control device, a 125mm BB spindle that is meant to be used with 7-spd Shimano XT and obviously the frame/fork/stem. No seatpost or additional hardware is included.
This bike is absolutely ready to be built up into an great rider. Any Klein is a really amazing bike and the Attitude just takes it to another level. Although they are known for their harsh and unforgiving ride, they can be made to serve nearly any level rider if setup properly. I definitely recommend running large volume tires like Klein Deathgrips or even more modern sticky tires. Anything over 2.2 will really help you enjoy the bike as much as possible.

CONDITION
This frame still has the original paint, but it\'s been used throughout its life and it shows it. There are lots of scuff, scratches and scrapes and some minimal fade. There are no dents, cracks or any other structural damage, only cosmetic. The bearings are all in great shape, there is no binding in the headset and the BB spins smoothly. The Mission control bars are not crimped at the ends and are full length.
Although the bike is not pristine I only spent about an hour cleaning and polishing it. So, someone with some more time on their hands could take it a little bit further and with some minor touch up work could make it look great. I didn\'t think it should be repainted and so I\'d rather sell it as is and let someone else decide.
