Vintage '62 Ampeg R-12 R12 Reverberocket Tube Guitar Amplifier Amp Project

Welcome buyers, you are looking at a cool project piece. This is the Vintage '62 Ampeg R-12 electric guitar amplifier. The 6V6 tube amps are known to have that magical tone. The vintage USA Ampegs are highly regarded by collectors and players alike. This R-12 is a second year example with the early R-12-R circuit. The R-12 was released in '61 and has been a mainstay of the Ampeg family since. Featuring dual 6V6's,2 6SL7's, 2 6SN7's, and a 5Y3- the R-12 is capable of gorgeous cleans and sweet tube overdrive. The tremolo circuit here is celebrated by players for its warm classic tone. This also features the true spring reverb. Ampeg was the first amplifier company to incorporate spring reverbs in the early 60's making this an important part of Ampeg history. This amp was kept in a damp basement for a long time as you can see. Powers on, but produces no sound. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned or budding tech- a real diamond in the rough. With vintage amps increasing in value every year, you can't go wrong with a 2nd year Ampeg project.Includes the original footswitch. This isa sale. Don't pass this by!
