The original AR dome tweeters were spectacular. However, as they age they loose the original \"sound\"because of hardening of the parts. Even when they work, the original AR tweeters do not sound like theydid when they were new. The HiVi Q1R Textile Dome Tweeter is a very close replacement for theoriginal AR part. To properly voice the Q1R tweeters, the crossover has an additional inductor added.Again, only high-quality parts were chosen - aJantzen Audio 0.05mH 18 AWG Air Core InductorCrossover Coil. This extra inductor is mounted to the rear of the tweeter magnet - no modification tothe appearance of the original AR crossover board. Just these parts alone cost over $50.Adjustment Pots:These pots are notorious for being scratchy, cutting-out of just not working at all. There are manythreads about restoring them but inevitably the problem WILL return again. I chose to by-pass thepots to avoid this headache. The pots themselves are part of the circuit so removing them altersthe resistance. A better method is to jumper around the pot but leave it in circuit. This is whathave been done here. It\'s as simple as moving 1 wire to put the pots back into the factory state.!! Excellent Condition - See Pictures !!Everything works as it should.
