This item is a vintage ANRI finely detailed hand carved wooden pipe rack featuring a well dressed Tyrolean gentleman (i.e., from the south Tyrol region in Italy, home to the ANRI woodcarvers) leaning on a fence. The fence serves a a rest for a pipe stem while the hollowed out section of the base is meant to hold the corresponding pipe bowl. The base measures approximately 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches while the overall height is approximately 5 inches. This item is in near mint condition with a bit of fading on rim of the gentleman\'s hat. Similar Tyrolean figure pipe racks can be found on the bottom left of page 38 of the definitive \"anri Woodcarvings\" by Philly Rains & Donald Bull.
