For sale: VTG. Antique Boudoir Doll, Art Deco, probably French Doll. Not sure but, maybe as early as 1920\'s or 1930\'s. I could not find any markings. She has a composite head with hand painted face, and light brown hair. The body is sewn fabric. There is a scarf on her head that covers most of her hair. Clothes consist of a pale pink skirt & top. Over this is a pretty organza frock, a soft pink color, with darker shades of pink flowers. Also a ruffled collar and ruffled hem and down both sides of front panel. She is being sold AS IS. There is a few factors that I will tell you about; first one of the dress seams, on right arm, the threads are coming loose on cuff of sleeve, ( but could easily be repaired). The only other defect is there is some cracking on back of head/ neck.( see photos) Dolls face looks pretty though. But like all of us, she shows the wear of time. I did not take scarf off to check condition of hair but can see some of the glue that holds hair on at front is starting to loosen, (another thing that can be easily repaired). Also there is 3 safety pin that someone has attached. One holds front of dress closed, one to hold skirt on and one to keep blouse in place.This antique boudoir doll would make a great additions to your doll collection....Thanks for taking the time to take a look at her.
