For your consideration isa rare vintage "OC WHITE" wall/desk lamp. The lampfeatures a"BRYANT"pull chain double socket with matching 6 3/4" diameterbrass "HUBBELL"shades. The shades are both yellow brass but one of themretains more of its original laquer finish which has not allowed itto darken with age as much as the other. I have done nothing but remove the grime and that is how they were. The socket switch allows the lamp to have both bulbs on or just the left or the right, simply by pulling the chain. The 7 1/2" swing arm is marked "OC WHITE WORCESTER MASS PAT'D SEPT 28 1893".Thepivot joint with signature OC WHITEhandle allows multiple settings. The pivot has a small chipon the backside of the clamp, (see the next to last photo, upper right hand corner) the chip is hardly noticeable,I just wanted to mention it. The lamp stands, or has a reach ofapprox. 44" at the furthest setting. The lamp arms measure approx. 20"each.The cast iron base is2 1/2" x 4"and can bemounted to the wall or a horizontal surface.Thevintage brass socket is rated250W 250V andaccepts standard size screw in bulbs (bulbs not included).Thecord is anew cloth covered twist 18 gauge wire with old fashionedtwo prong plug. The lamp has typical scratches, paint lossandtarnish, which add to the character of the piece. This sale includesa 20" pipe/arm that was not originally with the lamp (last photo laying in the center). The interchangeable threaded pipes canbe screwed on to the base plateby hand.
